In recent years, we have all become more comfortable exercising at home. While gyms are back, some of us are sticking with our home workouts. And thanks to several post-Cyber Monday dumbbell deals, it’s still a great time to save on new home gym equipment and gear.
Some of our favorite fitness brands are offering great deals on dumbbells and adjustable barbells, which are home gym staples. In fact, if used correctly, you may not need to have much else on hand. According to Brett Williams, NASM-CPT and editor-in-chief of Men’s Health magazine, if you’re designing a workout or even a training program using one piece of equipment, dumbbells may be the most versatile and effective option you can choose. Dumbbells are ideal for upper bodywork, such as presses, pull-ups, squats, etc. They are much easier to handle than long, heavy dumbbells and allow you to target a single muscle group. They also take up tiny space and are relatively inexpensive, making them perfect for anyone who lives in a small space or isn’t trying to spend thousands of dollars on a full home gym setup. We’ve found a few Cyber Monday barbell bargains that are worth buying now.
1. Bowflex SelectTech 552
This is a great buy for me. Otherwise, I would have jumped from one dumbbell to the next. It saves time, space, effort and you can focus on your exercise. This adjustable weight also allows you to do more different workouts with the ability to change weights by .5lbs.
It’s been a few months now. Let’s see how long it will survive.
2. Yes4All Cast Iron Adjustable Dumbbell Set
Tired of not being able to lift things anymore? Constantly bogged down by the overwhelming need to lift and grunt in the living room when your in-laws come to assert their dominance? Then I have a product for you. These nasty Larrys can do the job. With these weights, I can take up 90% of the common space in my house and grunt like a man lifting weights. Okay, now that you’ve had a good laugh, you’re welcome to consider buying. They are pretty sturdy and affordable. The only downside is that if you are is going to be heavy, I would make sure the side screws are secure.

3. PowerBlock Elite EXP Adjustable Dumbbells
I wavered between this model and the similar model from Bowflex. I opted for the latter because I thought it was a more durable item. Very easy to use. It takes less than 5 seconds to change weights and a little longer if you do 2.5 pound increments. If you’re worried that the shape of the block won’t fit your hand, take it from someone with enormous hands who has had no problems. I would get the extra weight in the future.

4. PowerBlock EXP Adjustable Dumbbells
I was always skeptical when looking at these, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like they are flat on the sides and you can place them on your legs as you prepare for your set. You can also purchase additional weights to go up to 90 pounds, which is a big plus. My only complaints are that the rubber grip is not ideal and can get slippery with sweat, and barbell safety bars surround your hand so it may limit you in range of motion, but only in a couple of specific exercises with my experience.
