The Power of Focus - How to manifest what you want

In manifesting what you want, nothing beats focus and clarity. Yet most people can’t get clarity or stay focused long enough to get what they want. They constantly change their minds or get distracted, lose focus and waste their power to manifest. Here’s how to get proper focus so you can manifest what you want.

When I say manifest, I mean create the results you want. Sometimes you have to go through intermediate steps to achieve your result. That is part of the manifestation process. Each step allows you to manifest the next step, which ultimately leads to the realization of your desire.

Focusing can help you manifest much faster because it keeps you focused on the next step. If you know people who get what they want, you notice that they are very good at staying focused for long periods of time, unlike those who seem to have trouble getting what they want.

Here are the steps you can take to increase your focus to tap into your true power to manifest your desires.

First: Eliminate distractions

We live in an age of constant distractions. Television, mobile devices, and the Internet keep you from focusing and manifesting what you want.

Get rid of anything that might distract you from your focus. Quit email. Forget Facebook. Turn off Twitter. Silence on your cell phone. Stop texting.

If you’re worried about missing something, set a timer to go off in 15 minutes or more. Better yet, set it for 90 minutes, a magic time that allows you to focus and create quickly.

While some people find that playing music in the background helps them focus, most people will get distracted by music because it triggers a memory. I use classical music, especially Mozart, Vivaldi and other baroque composers, because their music makes you feel good.

Second: Make yourself comfortable

Have everything you need set up and ready to go. Take a bathroom break. Get some water. Put together everything you need to create what you have in mind. You want to keep full focus, without having to break it to get something needed.

Get comfortable in your space, knowing that you can focus and manifest what you want.

Third: Clear your mind

Slowly close your eyes, and take three deep, slow breaths. On the first exhale, relax as completely as possible. On the second exhale, clear your mind of all thoughts by simply focusing on the sensation of the air leaving your body. And on the third exhale, notice how good it feels to take a few seconds to stop and breathe.

You are now ready to harness your power of concentration to manifest what you want. Open your eyes, smile, and look forward to focusing on manifesting what you want.

Fourth: Decide what you really want

What do you want to manifest? It doesn’t matter if it’s a feeling, a relationship, an object or an experience. It is your desire.

The only rule is that you must focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. Focusing on what you don’t want sends your energy in the wrong direction. Manifestation works by creating new results, not by eliminating unwanted ones.

Choose something that is important to you. If you have a list of things you want to manifest, choose to focus on the one you are most excited about. Leave the others for later. There will be plenty of time to work on them later.

What do you want you can put all your energy into achieving? On a scale of one to ten, where one means you don’t care at all and ten means you’re willing to work around the clock to get it, how enthusiastic are you about that desire?

Desires that are ten are much easier to achieve than those that are nine. And anything less than a five will take a long time, if ever, because you’ll have a hard time focusing enough to achieve it.

Fifth: Write your desires

Writing these ideas speeds up your process because most people can’t write about one idea and simultaneously think about another idea. Writing increases your ability to focus.

Be as specific as possible. The more detail you have, the better you can focus and the faster you can manifest what you want.

For example, if you want to manifest a car, describe it in every way possible. Describe the color, the make, the model, the feel of the steering wheel, the smell of the new car, the sound of the stereo, the reaction of your friends when they see you arrive in your new car, the feeling you get when you drive down the street. The more you can describe your desire, the easier it is to focus and make it happen.

Sixth, be clear about why you want it.

If we did not fully commit you to manifesting your desire and it is what you really want, try to come up with more reasons you want it. Write as many as you can find. Don’t worry about what other people think of your reasons. They can be selfish or selfless, it doesn’t matter. It’s your desire. And reasons are the fuel for your focus.

Seventh: Write the steps to get there

Now that you are completely focused on what you want, you can feel the inspiration rising. Write the steps that come to mind getting there. You don’t need to have a complete plan. The first few steps are enough to get you started.

Start with what you know and trust your focused energy to bring you everything you need to manifest what you want. Everything will become clear in due course, as you act with focus.

Even if you don’t get everything right, you will learn from these detours and quickly make the corrections necessary to get where you want to go.

For example, when you drive your car on the road, you don’t know every move of the steering wheel ahead of time. But you know what to do in the moment.

At night, your car’s headlights only light up a few hundred yards, but that’s enough to get you to your destination, showing you what you need to know when you need to know it.

Eighth: Take the next step

Repeat the first three steps in this process and start with the next step on your list of events. It will amaze you at how quickly you can manifest what you want when you use your power of concentration and take action.
