I started 25 years ago to analyze lotto history. Today, I am more convinced than ever that any lotto player can improve their chances of winning the lotto by studying lotto number patterns. Not only do lotto number patterns and trends exist, but they exist in all lotteries. They are not hidden. Anyone can use them to their advantage. In fact, the patterns and trends exist in all games of chance. Applying, we called them playing luck, and professional gamblers do it well.

Just making such a statement provokes the ire of some critics and skeptics who accuse me of everything but raping the Queen. Paraphrasing Shakespeare, “The skeptic doth protest too much, I think.”
The common thread of their discontent is this: Just because a lottery number has had a dry spell, doesn’t mean it will continue. After all, it’s a random game.
The Bard said it well. The critic is “hoisted by his own petard.” The current lottery equivalents of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern have misapplied a long-term analysis to a short-term game.
The persistence of lottery numbers
This is rare, but I agree with the skeptics and critics. They are absolutely right. In the long run, such lottery number patterns and trends will not persist. But here’s the part they don’t understand. For lotto, the long term is tens of thousands of years and the short term is our lifetime.
As a practical man, I am not very concerned about what will happen in the year 2500. I am interested in what will happen in my lifetime. And, in the short term, lotto number patterns persist for months, even years, before the pendulum inevitably swings back the other way. This is what I call persistence and it’s easy to see it at work in every lottery.
When I find something that gives me an advantage, I don’t need a mathematical formula that predicts what will happen exactly. You don’t have to understand exactly how something works to benefit from it. The vast majority of people don’t understand the mathematics that describe how their car’s tires work and perform. And yet, that doesn’t discourage them from driving their car.
Lottery number patterns
Persistence looks like this. In a previous article, I stated that Lotto Texas lottery number 45, 6/54 was a suitable candidate to remove from your playlist. This was not a spur-of-the-moment decision. They based it on the number’s past performance, a pattern, a trend. Over several thousand years, we will draw all Texas Lotto numbers on average every 9 draws. So, in the short term, how did Lotto #45 perform?
This is where a good lotto software comes in handy. From 26/04/06 to 08/07/09, 335 draws, what happened to lotto number 45?
First, I did not draw it for 37 consecutive draws. Then it didn’t draw for 18 consecutive draws, then 19. Do you see the pattern? Do you see the pattern of lotto numbers? Skeptics would say to ignore what is happening in front of your eyes because it is a random draw. They wouldn’t take advantage of this lotto number pattern because they don’t believe it’s a pattern.
But if we were professional gamblers and played the odds, this is how we would have done it.
Later, the lotto number 45 was not drawn for 29 consecutive draws. To the critic, it was just a fluke. Then it was not drawn for 43 consecutive draws. The critic stands his ground. Then he didn’t get 36 draws in a row. Now the critic is worried that he forgot to put bullets in his gun. Then there was no success for 24 drawings in a row, then another 20 drawings after that. The critic is looking for cover. And then, just recently, he didn’t hit for 39 drawings in a row!!! Someone, call the police. We have a missing critic. This lotto number pattern (the one that critics and skeptics say doesn’t exist) has persisted for 335 draws. That’s 3 years and 3 months! The expression “perseverance pays” comes to mind.

Regardless of my arguments and support, there will be those who say I picked a lottery that fits my article. No, I didn’t have to pick a lottery. No, I did not have to stage this article.
